Born in Denizli, Turkey, in 1983. He started his product design education in Istanbul Technical University, Department of Industrial Design and received Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design from Middle East Technical University, in 2004. After graduation, he took part in a marine design company for one year and then moved to France for an exchange programme in Ecole Supérieure d'Art et de Design de Reims, where he developed several projects on sustainable design.
During his graduate degree, he worked for product design companies in Germany and Turkey and designed various products ranging from washing machines to small household electrical equipements. In 2008, he received a Master of Science degree in Product Design from Istanbul Technical University. Between 2008-12 he worked as a lecturer in Industrial Design at Massey University, in Auckland, New Zealand. Currently he is working as an Assistant Professor at Iowa State University, Department of Industrial Design. Many of his works are exhibited in international fairs and published in various magazines. He believes that, design is an outcome of search for efficiency.
